The Baselworld novelties keep rolling through and Omega is one luxury replica watchmaker who has come to the show with a few tricks up its sleeve. In 2016, Omega will introduce six brand new Master Chronometer movements across their collection of 62 new models for the year.
The first will be found in their Annual Calendar movement for the Globemaster, whilst their other Master Chronometer Chronograph movement will make its way into the new Planet Ocean Chronograph and Speedmaster Moonphase.
Women’s replica watches also receive some fine attention with an introduction of the new Master Chronometer movement for the Planet Ocean 600M in numerous versions. The sixth movement is a GMT which will find its home in the new Planet Ocean 600m with the black and white ceramic bezel.
The significance of these new movements come from their certification procedures which involves rigorous testing at the highest level by METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology). The result of these 62 new models will form the backbone of what Omega Replica Watches has stood for over the years: form, function, craftsmanship and unwavering precision.
These are the four standout timepieces that caught our attention at the Omega stand from this year’s Baselworld.
Planet Ocean 45.5mm Chronograph
Precision, performance and style form the cornerstone of the Planet Ocean Master Chronometer Collection. As mentioned, this new piece features Omega’s latest chronograph movement certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). In this stunning orange and black piece, Replica Omega has employed the combination of rubber and ceramic to create a cool new diving bezel. The orange rubber covers the first 15 minutes whilst lustrous Liquidmetal adorns the markings of the watch.
The 43.5mm stainless steel case includes a sleek black ceramic dial which displays the hours. minutes and seconds alongside two chrono counters and a date window at 6 o’clock. Inside the case resides the OMEGA Master Chronometer 8900 movement. A patterned rubber strap pairs perfectly with this stylish high performance watch.
Take your timekeeping out of this world with Omega’s latest Speedmaster Moonphase. It’s a piece which draws inspiration from Omega’s first replica watch to ever be worn on the lunar surface. A METAS certified movement complements this watch which sports a bold hue of brilliant blue across a sun brushed dial, ceramic bezel and leather strap.
The 44mm case itself is set in stainless steel alongside twin two-handed subdials with rhodium-plated circles which give the watch a symmetrical appeal. The moonphase window on the dial is set in contrasting black and white and is claimed to be as detailed as a NASA photograph. Such is the accuracy of Omega’s moonphase mechanism that it only requires minor crown adjusting after 10 years.
Inside the watch you’ll find Omega’s new 9904 movement which is made up of 368 components. The replica watches also come in Steel, Gold or Platinum finish.
Globemaster Annual Calendar
Taking watchmaking back to classic proportions is the famous Globemaster line. The new Annual Calendar draws inspiration from the 12 facets of the watch’s Pie Pan dial which sees a central varnished blue hand indicate the current month through an instantaneous jump.
A new 41mm stainless steel case has increased in size form previous models in order to accommodate this new feature. The bezel itself is made of hard tungsten carbide whilst inside the piece sits the new METAS certified OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8922 build for precision and performance. This movement drives the hours, minutes and seconds alongside a date window at 6 o’clock. The vibrant blue of the hands, month markers and indexes provide a visual marvel which bursts out against the brushed grey dial.
Planet Ocean 43.5mm GMT
Another premiere that got our little hearts racing at Baselworld was this spectacular monochromatic piece under the guise of a Planet Ocean 43.5mm GMT. This is a truly special piece in Omega’s collection as it’s the first to introduce a bi-ceramic bezel in contrasting black and white with markings which help to distinguish day from night.
The 43.5mm stainless steel case features a matching black ceramic dial and the watch is driven by the new Master Chronometer GMT 8906 movement. As Planet Ocean is made for the waters, the watch features a black leather strap with a soft rubber underside. Again, this combination of two materials marks Omega’s delivery of a new sporty and comfortable combination. Water resistance for the Planet Ocean 43.5mm GMT is rated at 600 metres.
